I just read Steve Krug's Don't Make Me Think (New Riders, 2000). Short, funny, to the point and very well illustrated, it's the best single book on Web design I've ever read.
I've been aware of this book for years, and I've known it is popular, but I already have lots of Web design books, and having two by Jakob Nielsen, I was fed up with usability books. It was just by impulse I added Krug's book to my cart at Amazon the other week.
Hopefully I was the last to discover this book. But if you haven't read it, and need a Web design book, read this one first!
