Today, I've been reading an interesting paper from Hypertext '98: Adaptive Narrative Abstraction by Michel Crampes, Jean Paul Veuillez, and Sylvie Ranwez
By narrative, they mean kinds of stories that a narratologist would say are not narratives. Their examples are a symphony concert and a soccer match on TV. As such, their results have limited value.
It is also interesting to note that there is such a field as "narrative graphs." I am curious to whether this field is as ignorant of narratology as Crampes et. al. seem to be.
