The sound that only two laquered metal bumpers colliding can make. A heavy thud but rich in high overtones. Gouffh!
It was almost a year ago that the car behind me couldn't stop in time. Today, the driver was just distracted, ("I was watching the construction work over there," she said) and drove slowly straight into my car as I stood still in the morning traffic.
No visible damage, I stood still, and she was just creeping along.
It was about a hundred meters from where it happened last year. Do I have to get used to being crashed into? Will it my fault the next time? (I certainly get distracted from time to time.)
This is a reminder: be alert, keep your distance!
