It's done. 186 typos in the thesis identified, corrected, and documented. The long, horrible list is delivered in quadruplcate to the Faculty of Arts.
For some stupid reason, I thought Excel might be a good tool for the job. Oh man, it was not. Trying to get something readable out of that program was horrible.
How can it be that hundreds of programmers can work together for decades, creating a program every computer user has, and it so awful?
I should have done it in Tinderbox. It's more or less a one-man job, I think, and it has always been brilliant.
The Faculty of Arts has also received a press release and a "scholarly summary," hastily made today, and a photo Mona took last night.
